What is a Delmarva Girl? A Delmarva Girl is strong in spirit, kindness, and encouragement.  The traditional pineapple symbol in the design signifies her welcoming nature and eagerness to extend friendship to others.

  

But most of all, a Delmarva Girl enjoys the natural beauty of the Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia tidewater region from the Chesapeake Bay to the Delaware Bay to the Atlantic Ocean and all across the peninsula.

 

 

 

 

 

About Delmarva Girl Founder Karen Snyder:

Karen Snyder is a local freelance writer, marketing consultant, and virtual assistant who resides in coastal Delaware. Having spent 20 years as a seasonal resident of Fenwick Island, DE, Karen and her husband decided to make the Delmarva Peninsula their permanent home in 2021.

Now living year-round near Bethany Beach, Karen wanted to reach out to other women living in her area to form new friendships. As a business owner herself, she also wanted to support women business owners living all across Delmarva.

So in August 2021, she launched Delmarva Girl, a social media group which provides opportunities for social gatherings, business networking, and encouragement for women to live happy and healthy lives.

In just one month, the group grew to more than 1,000 members and continues to welcome women who reside part- or full-time on Delmarva in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.
